RADIEWCARE is a structured teleradiology service and IECC platform that turns radiology reports into machine-readable, FHIR-ready data — for hospitals that need 24/7 coverage and organisations that need imaging data they can actually use.
Our story
RADIEWCARE was founded by Dr. Fernando González Sánchez, a radiologist who spent years watching the same problem repeat itself across every hospital he worked in: radiology reports were being written, signed and filed — and then becoming completely useless for anything beyond the immediate clinical question.
The reports existed as PDFs. The data inside them — findings, measurements, biomarkers, clinical codes — was locked away in narrative text that no system could read, no database could query, and no AI could learn from.
In 2015, we started building a different kind of teleradiology service. One where every report is structured from the moment it is written — not converted after the fact, not processed by NLP, but structured at source by the radiologist, using a framework (IECC) that captures the clinical meaning in a form that machines can use.
Ten years and 700,000+ reports later, that framework is now available as a platform that any hospital, health tech company or research organisation can license and deploy.
Timeline
